The 5000/6000 Series is designed to meet the demanding requirements of processing industries. These ball valves offer a heavy stem/ball drive for durability, which is especially important in automated and high frequency operations. The standard port and small full port valves are uni-body construction. The large full port valves are split body construction with an extra heavy center flange to bolt the two halves of the body together around the ball and seats to compress them together.

All sizes of the 5000/6000 Series full and standard port series with appropriate seats and seals is a "fire tested design". This means that the external pressure containing parts of the valve are based on a design that has been fire tested, but the valve has not been fire tested itself.
